Celebrating the Royal Wedding

A ROYAL AFTERNOON TEA

Members of Westminster Chapter, DBE in Ohio, celebrated the wedding of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton by arranging an elegant afternoon tea on April 29, 2011.  Westminster Chapter members arrived at the lovely English-decorated home of Chapter member, Mrs. Shirley Stephenson, wearing resplendent hats and suits and bearing trays of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones and numerous other afternoon tea delights.

The wedding ceremony had been taped earlier by Mr. Stephenson and was played during the afternoon for the viewing pleasure of the guests.  Regent Alexandra Wheeler welcomed the members and guests and everyone raised a cup of tea to toast the bride and groom and wish them a long and happy wedded life.

Westminster Chapter's "Royal Afternoon Tea", in celebration of the Royal Wedding, was featured on the TV Channel 3 report on Royal Wedding events in the Cleveland area.
